One nice thing about the restaurant is it’s linked in with the ‘Alohilani system and you can charge back to your room, very convenient. Keep the club access room in mind when booking, it may be a less expensive option than eating out each day.

The website says continental breakfast but take a look at the photos below, what do you think? A full spread down the center buffet section really made this a full breakfast in my opinion.Ĭome back in the evening because the wine and beer station was ready to go and although I didn’t get to see it the website says a pasta station also runs. When booking your room at ‘Alohilani consider getting one that gets you access to the Longboard Club. 5mm which I found funny because my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. BathroomĪ basic bathroom that was spotless along with good water pressure, very important after a day in the sand, trust me. Clean, comfortable, and perfect for enjoying the nespresso machine while looking out onto Diamond Head. Just myself but a double queen never bothered me like it does some other travelers, I have bigger fish to fry. There are two towers at the ‘Alohilani and I was booked for the one nearest the mountain, I was bummed not to be nearer the ocean until I saw the view from my room, even in the early morning hours it was impressive. It is literally a Waikiki attraction in itself and if you happen to be in the area put it on your list. Note that there is a resort fee, and limited parking is available for a fee.Without a doubt, the ‘Alohilani has one of the most unique features of any hotel in Waikiki putting it on par with the pink facade of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. On-site boutiques sell clothing, as well as gifts and souvenirs.

There are also two tennis courts available at no charge, fitness and yoga classes (for a fee), and a spa offering massages and facials in private cabanas. The modern, well-equipped fitness center has cardio and strength-training machines, as well as free weights, plus eucalyptus-infused chilled towels. There are five different meeting and event spaces, including the 6,300-square-foot Alohilani Ballroom. Swell Bar is located at the fifth-floor infinity pool, a stylish space with daybeds and cabanas (for a fee), but the views are mediocre and it gets crowded. Premier Ocean Front rooms overlook the beach, but the various Ocean View rooms only offer obstructed glimpses of the ocean - some guests don’t recommend paying extra. Most rooms have small balconies (known as lanais) with patio furniture.

Framed beach paintings offer a little color, and small marble-base tables are stylish, if understated. Contemporary and minimalist, rooms are decorated with pale-brown carpeting and walls, natural-tone wood furniture, and white bedding. The 839 rooms and suites at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach are decorated much like the hotel’s public spaces, but with a little less pizzazz.
